Our District Cabinet Installation programme was a colorful event. We started our day with a Mega Seva Mela. The Chief Guest Lion Salim Moussan and Lion Lady Alia Moussan distributed 100 Artificial Limbs and 30 Sewing Machines to the needy persons in the morning at 10 am at Lions Bhavan on 2nd August, 2009. The smiling faces of the beneficiaries was great to watch. A occasion to watch and get satisfied. Kudos to all the club leaders who have taken the Mega Seva Mela project and completed with great Satisfaction.
In the evening in a glittering function attended by a 1000 plus Lions, Lion Ladies, leos, guests, Lion Salim Moussan installed the Cabinet members. Lion Minesh Narayan Tandon as the first Vice District Governor, Lion Mahesh Agarwal as second Vice District Governor and the team of the Cabinet. He methodiacally installed the cabinet and briefed every one about the duties and responsibilities. He also encouraged the lions gave a motivating message.
Lion Alia Moussan had enlighten the women’s movement in Lebanon and their service project. Shri Dr. Ramchandra Murthy, Guest of honour gave his wonderful message. The Chief Guest of the evening Dr.Konjeti Rosaiah garu, hon’ble minister of finance, briefed about the need to involve the Lions in the service projects, and assured us the support in the year. He also gave a thought provoking message.
Let us all once again take oath to perform in this year, and Lead to serve the poor and needy and touch a heart and Move to Grow.
